Job Summary
Isvara Overseas is hiring an experienced HR Operations Manager to build and manage a robust internal HR function as the company scales rapidly. You will be responsible for the complete employee lifecycle — from recruitment support and onboarding to performance management, compliance, and offboarding — while establishing HR policies and processes that support a high-performance culture.
This is a strategic role with the opportunity to shape the HR function from the ground up at a company experiencing significant growth.
About the Role
As HR Operations Manager, you will be the cornerstone of Isvara Overseas' people operations. You will ensure that HR processes are streamlined, compliant, and aligned with the company's growth ambitions. You will work closely with department heads to address people challenges, design engagement programs, and create an environment where top talent thrives.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong people skills to manage both the "hard" HR compliance requirements and the "soft" culture-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement HR policies, employee handbook, and standard operating procedures aligned with Indian labor laws.
- Manage complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, induction, probation review, confirmation, and offboarding.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with finance and ensure timely, accurate salary processing.
- Maintain HRIS with up-to-date employee data, attendance records, and leave management.
- Lead performance management process including KRA setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals.
- Manage statutory compliance including PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and Shops & Establishment Act.
- Design and execute employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and team-building activities.
- Handle employee relations — grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and conflict mediation.
- Partner with department heads to drive internal recruitment for mid-level and support roles.
- Generate HR MIS reports for leadership including headcount, attrition, cost per hire, and engagement scores.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in an HR operations or generalist role
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws: EPF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, Maternity Benefit Act
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Zoho People, Darwinbox, GreytHR, or similar)
- Proficiency in payroll coordination and statutory compliance management
- Strong understanding of performance management frameworks and appraisal processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for handling sensitive employee matters
- Ability to work independently and drive HR initiatives without micromanagement
- MBA in HR from a reputed institution is preferred
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or professional services firm is an advantage
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive salary of ₹8–12 LPA with performance-linked annual increments
- Opportunity to build and lead the entire HR function at a growing company
- Comprehensive health insurance covering self, spouse, and two children
- Access to premium HR certifications (SHRM, PHRi) sponsored by the company
- Flexible working hours and hybrid work policy
- Paid parental leave (maternity and paternity)
- Leadership development program for aspiring HR Heads and CHROs
- ESOP opportunity for performers who drive significant organizational impact
- Annual company retreat and HR professional networking events
- Supportive leadership team that values HR as a strategic function
